Celebration
U.S.A.'s purpose is to teach children the basic principles of American
democracy, to invigorate patriotism, and to bring attention to the
idea that the nation's schools are, as The Youth's Companion states
in 1892, "the institution(s) closest to the people, most characteristic
of the people and fullest of hope for the people."

|
| "Let every American, every lover
of Liberty...support the Constitution. Let it be taught in
schools, in seminaries and in colleges. Let it be written in
primers, in spelling books and in almanacs. Let it be
preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls,
and enforced in courts of justice."
- Abraham Lincoln |

Paula Burton
Chairman of the Board and Founder
Paula is the visionary force behind
Celebration USA, and the annual synchronized "Pledge Across
America" held on Constitution Day, September 17th. Paula is a
naturalized citizen whose enthusiasm, and great love of country
have enhanced her student's ability to see the world and their
country with a greater appreciation. In 1992 Paula Burton
honored the 100th anniversary of Francis Belemy’s Pledge of
Allegiance with the first annual “Pledge Across America”, the
nationally synchronized recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance
in schools. Paula continues to take great pleasure in presenting
Celebration USA's materials to the many other educators who will
share it with students across the country. Paula has been
